Job summary

Sectora Group is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a busy site in Dorset. You will oversee around 35 staff across Hire, Service, Training, Purchasing and Administration, reporting to the Operations Director.

The role focuses on accountability, process improvements and driving growth in a fast‑growing business. You will directly influence day-to-day operations, develop the team, and work with senior leaders to deliver excellent customer service and successful delivery of technical

Qualifications

Proven experience managing multi-functional operational teams within engineering, technical services, equipment hire, manufacturing or a similar environment.
Experience leading through departmental managers or supervisors.
Track record of improving operational performance and driving accountability.
Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing resources, workloads, KPIs and priorities.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop departmental managers and teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
Own day-to-day site operations, ensuring efficient, collaborative departments.
Identify and implement improvements to processes, productivity and performance.
Ensure workloads are distributed with adequate resources and direction.
Establish KPIs, reporting and standards; embed consistent processes.
