Job summary

Pursuit Resources Group in Basildon area seeks a senior commercial and operational leader to drive structured, profitable growth across sales, operations, finance, people and systems. You’ll report to an entrepreneurial Board and own day-to-day performance, planning and delivery, building a well-managed, commercially disciplined business.

With responsibility for revenue, margins and governance, you’ll shape pricing, budgets and KPIs, lead a growing team and ensure compliance, safety and quality

Qualifications

• Senior operational or director-level experience in a growing SME.
• Proven track record of revenue growth and profitability improvement.
• Comfort with P&Ls, budgets, EBITDA, cash flow and KPIs.
• Ability to introduce structure, process and accountability.
• Strategic yet hands-on with daily operations.
• Experience leading teams and managing performance.
• Construction/building compliance or related sector experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales, operations, finance, people and systems.
• Translate Board objectives into clear, measurable plans.
• Oversee live jobs, capacity and delivery within budget.
• Manage profitability, pricing, margins and cost control.
• Build organisational structure and reporting lines.
• Ensure compliance, health and safety, quality and data protection.
• Report to the Board and drive growth and delivery.
