Job summary

Ferrovial Construction UK is seeking an Environmental & Sustainability Advisor to support major UK infrastructure projects, based at Heathrow Airport. You will work with the Environmental Manager and project teams to drive compliance, improve sustainability performance and embed best practice across site operations.

The role involves preparing and reviewing environmental documentation, carrying out site visits, and delivering in line with Ferrovial’s Environmental Management System.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master’s in environmental, sustainability, construction, engineering or related discipline.
• Excellent written and spoken English with ability to produce clear environmental documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Right to work in the UK and Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of environmental objectives in line with policy and client requirements.
• Undertake site assurance visits to monitor compliance and close-out actions.
• Promote continuous improvement in environmental and sustainability performance.
• Maintain awareness of UK environmental legislation and translate requirements into site controls.
• Assist with preparation of Environmental Management Plans and related procedures.
• Support briefings, toolbox talks and communication strategies to ensure understanding by employees and subcontractors.
• Monitor site activities against Works Information and Ferrovial standards.
• Prepare environmental reports, dashboards and updates for senior management.
• Support audits, inspections, investigations and lessons learned activities.
• Provide practical advice on environmental requirements and promote innovation.
