Job summary

Ferrovial Construction UK is seeking a Senior Environmental & Sustainability Advisor to join our Heathrow Project on-site. You will support the Environmental & Sustainability Manager and the Construction Team to ensure environmental and sustainability requirements are effectively implemented across the project.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in environmental and sustainability roles within construction, infrastructure or major projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Environmental & Sustainability Manager and Construction Team to implement project requirements.
• Prepare and review environmental management documentation (e.g., EMPs, SWMPs, dewatering plans).
• Build relationships with project teams, supply chain partners and stakeholders with regular site presence.
• Deliver environmental briefings and promote carbon reduction opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with design teams to embed sustainability and monitor compliance across site activities.
• Assist with environmental incident investigations and audits, ensuring timely closure of actions.
• Mentor junior team members and graduates, promoting best practices across the project.
