Job summary

Ferrovial Construction UK is seeking a site-based Senior Environmental & Sustainability Advisor to join the Heathrow Project. You will support the Environmental & Sustainability Manager and on-site teams to ensure environmental and sustainability requirements are implemented across the project.

Location: Heathrow Airport. You will help deliver carbon reduction opportunities, monitor site activities, and work with the design team to ensure compliance with environmental standards throughout the

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental and sustainability roles within construction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proactive, self-motivated, able to work independently.
• Commercial awareness of environmental challenges in construction.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to environmental and sustainability objectives in line with Ferrovial policies and project requirements.
• Prepare and review Environmental Management Plans, Site Waste Management Plans and related documents.
• Maintain a visible on-site presence and engage with construction activities.
• Deliver environmental briefings, communications and awareness initiatives for the project.
• Collaborate with designers and teams to identify carbon reduction opportunities throughout the lifecycle.
• Monitor environmental compliance and support audits, inspections and assurance activities.
• Prepare environmental performance reports for senior project stakeholders.
• Develop and manage environmental performance monitoring tools and systems, including SmartWaste.
