Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc in Redcar is seeking a Senior CAD Technician to support the Net Zero Teesside project. You will produce and update 2D drawings and 3D models across multiple construction disciplines, translating engineer mark-ups into controlled drawings and maintaining revision control.

Working with engineers,Temporary Works teams and site colleagues, you will ensure accuracy, alignment with project standards and timely drawing delivery for construction, logistics and handover.

Qualifications

• Proven CAD experience within construction, civil engineering or similar technical environment.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience producing 2D drawings, layouts and details; ability to interpret mark-ups and survey information.
• Ability to manage drawing tasks with limited supervision and maintain revision control.

Responsibilities

• Produce and update 2D CAD drawings, 3D models, layouts and construction details.
• Translate engineer mark-ups and site instructions into controlled drawings.
• Support temporary works, site logistics and coordination across teams.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions and handed-over records.
• Work with engineers, supervisors and subcontractors to deliver clear drawings.
