Job summary

Gortmore Limited, on behalf of a leading contractor, seeks a Site Engineer for a Civil project in the Birmingham area. You will oversee setting out, dimensional control and QA, ensuring works conform to latest design and specifications.

The role requires experience on civils groundworks, drainage and RC structures, plus proficiency with AutoCAD, laser levels, total stations and GPS. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to coordinate the site team and manage technical

Qualifications

• Experience on civils projects including groundworks, drainage, and RC structures.
• Proficient with laser levels, total stations and GPS for setting out.
• Able to read drawings and quantify materials using AutoCAD.
• Experience carrying out ITPs, KPIs and RFIs.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills to raise issues on site.
• Ensure QA is followed and site diary is maintained.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and distribute project information to the site team with accurate setting out and dimensional control.
• Manage setting out and ensure works align with latest design and specifications.
• Ensure temporary works are in place and compliant.
• Maintain QA procedures and keep the site diary up to date.
• Carry out ITPs, KPI tracking, and RFIs as required.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to resolve issues on site.

Gortmore are working for a leading contractor who are looking for a Site Engineer's on a Civil's project in the Birmingham area.

• Have Previous experience working on Civils projects on groundworks, Drainage, RC Structures etc.
• Must have excellent Knowledge of, Laser Levels, Total Stations and GPS's.
• Monitoring, manage, distribute project information to site team and ensure accurate setting out and dimensional control is being carried out.
• Must have experience in Temporary works.
• Ensure the works are constructed to latest design and agreed Specification.
• Ensure Project QA is being carried out and site diary is maintained.
• Must be competent in Auto Cad, reading drawings and quantifying materials.
• Carry out ITP's, KPI's, RFI's, etc.
• Have excellent communication skills and in distributing project information to work colleagues.
• Have excellent problem-solving capabilities and be able to raise any potential issues
