Job summary

Linear Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Site Agent to join a civil engineering contractor delivering a long-term water and wastewater infrastructure programme across Oxfordshire. You will oversee day-to-day site delivery, ensuring projects are safe, on programme and to standard.

Experience in self-delivery projects and coordinating directly employed teams, plant and resources is highly valued. A CSCS card and SMSTS certification are required, with a relevant civil engineering qualification and a

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Site Agent, Sub Agent or in a similar site management role within civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Experience delivering water or wastewater projects would be advantageous, including treatment works, pumping stations or pipelines.
• Self-delivery projects experience, coordinating directly employed operatives, plant and resources.
• CSCS card and SMSTS certification are required.
• HNC or degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods and site management.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills for coordinating multiple activities.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites in Oxfordshire and surrounding region.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Plan and coordinate self-delivery activities, managing directly employed operatives, labour, plant, materials and site resources to maintain productivity.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, overseeing site logistics, procurement and the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Work with design, commercial, project management and health and safety teams to resolve issues, manage risks and identify delivery improvements.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme, maintain accurate site records and provide regular updates to the project team and client.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality requirements are followed throughout construction.
• Act as Temporary Works Coordinator where required, overseeing temporary works activities and ensuring designs and procedures are followed.
• Support completion, commissioning and handover of projects, ensuring works meet client requirements.
