Job summary

ASEL in Derby is seeking a Retail Security Officer to deter crime, monitor premises, and respond to incidents. You will carry out guarding duties in-store, manage access control, and report issues using digital tools. You must hold a valid SIA licence (Guarding or Door Supervisor) and be able to provide a 5-year checkable history.

Full training is provided; prior retail security experience is an advantage. The role offers varied hours with an hourly rate of £12.71, with opportunities for

Qualifications

• You must have a valid SIA licence to apply for this role.
• Previous experience in Retail Security is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
• You must have a current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence to apply for this role.
• Applicants must be able to provide a full 5-year checkable work or education history.

Responsibilities

• Access Control - Gatehouse and Reception duties; welcoming, helping and directing those who seek your assistance, identifying any threat to security and escalating appropriately.
• Loss Prevention - Conducting searches and patrols, reviewing CCTV in stock loss investigations, and liaising with management and local authorities.
• Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities policies and follow the company handbook.
