Job summary

ASEL Security Officer role in York requires a visible deterrent presence, incident response, and accurate reporting to mitigate risk. You will patrol, assess vulnerabilities, and work with local authorities to ensure store security and safety.

Candidates must hold a valid SIA licence, provide a five-year checkable history, and bring right-to-work documents. Training will be provided for guarding duties and daily operations in-store.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence required to apply.
• Retail security experience advantageous but not essential.
• Must provide a five-year checkable work/education history.
• Bring right to work documents and a recent proof of address.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the shop floor and deterring criminal activity.
• Responding to incidents and completing incident reports.
• Collaborating with local authorities when applicable.
• Carrying out guarding duties in-store and managing vulnerable persons with empathy.
• Digitally reporting incidents and using devices for daily activity planning.
• Producing detailed, legible reports to assist the client and authorities.
