Job summary

ASEL in Londonderry is seeking a Retail Security Officer to deter crime and protect store assets. You will patrol the shop floor, report incidents, and liaise with local authorities to support a safe shopping environment.

The role requires a valid SIA licence and 5-year checkable history. Training will be provided, and flexible hours are available to cover varied shifts. An in-store presence and professional communication are essential.

Qualifications

• You must have a valid SIA licence to apply for this role.
• Previous experience in a Retail Security Role is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
• Applicants must be able to provide a full 5-year checkable work or back to school history.
• You must have a current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence to apply for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible deterrence and deter criminal activity in-store.
• Respond to incidents and complete incident reports.
• Collaborate with local authorities as required.
• Patrol the shop floor and assess vulnerabilities to minimise risk.
• Liaise with management and colleagues as part of security operations.
• Digitally report incidents using tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
