Job summary

ASEL, part of the Argenbright Holdings Group, is seeking a Retail Security Officer in Southampton to deter crime and protect customers. You will patrol, respond to incidents, complete reports and liaise with local authorities.

You must hold a current SIA licence to apply, and previous experience in retail security is advantageous. The role offers weekend coverage and a £13.05 hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid SIA licence to apply.
• Previous retail security experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Patrol shop floor to deter criminal activity and ensure safety.
• Assess vulnerabilities and proactively minimise risk.
• Liaise with store management and local authorities as needed.
• Safely manage vulnerable persons with empathy.
• Perform colleague and contractor searches as required.
• Digitally report incidents using tablets/phones for planning.
• Provide detailed and legible incident reports for clients.
