Job summary

ASEL in Exeter is seeking a Retail Security Officer to deter crime, respond to incidents, and report thoroughly to support client security objectives.

You will patrol the store, assess vulnerabilities, liaise with management and local authorities, and ensure professional conduct while protecting customers and staff. An SIA licence is required, with full training provided for those new to retail security.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence to apply for this role.
• Previous experience in a Retail Security role is advantageous but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible deterrence and patrol to deter crime.
• Respond to incidents and complete detailed incident reports.
• Liaise with local authorities and management when applicable.
• Manage vulnerable persons with empathy and professionalism.
• Conduct searches of colleagues and contractors as required.
