Job summary

Ward Security is seeking an experienced Front of House Security Officer for a landmark building in Birmingham. You will be the first point of contact for tenants, visitors and contractors, delivering a professional security presence and exceptional customer service.

The role requires a valid SIA Licence and experience in a corporate security environment. You will handle access checks, de-escalate tensions, and report incidents while maintaining a courteous, calm attitude during nights and

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, welcoming, highly visible security presence throughout the building.
• Act as a key contact for tenants, visitors, contractors and staff.
• Deliver exceptional customer service at every interaction.
• Build positive relationships with tenants and building users.
• Handle complaints calmly and professionally.
• De-escalate situations using strong communication and conflict-management skills.
• Provide clear information in person, over the phone and via email.
• Carry out ID and access-control checks per site procedures.
• Identify security, safety and Health & Safety risks proactively.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents promptly.
• Report issues to Supervisor or Duty Manager.
• Complete accurate incident reports.
• Operate security and emergency equipment as required.
• Work independently and use initiative when issues arise.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanour.
• Support reception, foyer and communal areas operations.
• Collaborate with building service teams to maintain a first-class environment.
