Job summary

British Gas is seeking a Short-Term Build Analyst to join our Resource Planning function. You will produce and deliver resource plans for work types across Customer Operations from 1 week to 12 weeks out, and support the planning teams to optimise activity and profitability while ensuring customer fairness.

Based in the UK, the role supports hybrid/remote work with travel to Stockport or Leeds as needed. You will collaborate with stakeholders, manage planning cycles, and provide actionable

Qualifications

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills with strong Excel modelling ability.
• Numerate with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear verbal and written communication; ability to present findings effectively.
• Ability to produce concise, structured documents and analyses for decision making.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe environment with the aim of a zero-incident workspace and accountability for team safety.
• Lead planning discussions with stakeholders to align inputs with latest requirements.
• Develop resource plans/models to forecast staffing, service levels and KPIs.
• Own planning cycles and processes to produce the operational plan.
• Analyse performance against plan and provide commentary to leadership.
