Job summary

British Gas is seeking a Short-Term Build Analyst to join our Customer Operations planning team. You will produce and deliver short- to mid-term resource plans for multiple work types, from 1 week to 12 weeks out, helping maximise profitability and maintain fair treatment of customers.

You will forecast staffing levels and service levels, partner with stakeholders, and drive improvements in planning processes, with occasional travel to Stockport or Leeds.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical background and excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Good understanding of Resource Planning principles and practices.
• Experience Using eWFM is essential.
• Experience of working across a wide group of stakeholders.
• Thorough understanding of what delivers great customer service.
• Highly numerate with good accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to produce clear and concise documents and analysis using PowerPoint and Excel.
• Performs effectively under time pressure and adversity.
• Commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe environment with the aim of a zero-incident workspace.
• Contribute to the work-stream to deliver objectives and targets.
• Develop resource plans/models/processes to forecast staffing and service levels.
• Lead discussions with stakeholders to keep inputs current with operational needs.
• Assess risks/opportunities and communicate them to the plan.
• Review performance against plan and provide analysis to stakeholders.
• Interpret and comment on deviations to leadership using planning insights.
• Own the planning cycles and processes that support the plan.
• Link forecasting, long-term planning and change outputs to an actionable plan.
• Communicate outputs effectively and drive improvements for customers.
• Support ad-hoc scenario modelling and RP projects.
• Maintain governance across Resource Planning teams and ensure data accuracy.
