Job summary

The Short-Term Build Analyst role at Centrica plc focuses on producing and delivering resource plans for work types across Customer Operations, from 1 week to 12 weeks out, with emphasis on profitability and fair treatment of customers.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise documents and analyses using PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Performs effectively under time pressures and demonstrates continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the work-stream to deliver objectives to agreed targets.
  • Produce and develop resource plans/models/processes to forecast staffing levels and service levels.
  • Lead discussions with stakeholders to keep inputs up to date and aligned with requirements.
  • Assess risks and opportunities to plans and communicate to relevant parties.
  • Review performance against plan and provide analysis to stakeholders.
  • Interpret and provide commentary on deviations from agreed performance metrics to leadership.
  • Own planning cycles and processes supporting the plan.
  • Link forecasting, long-term planning and change to operational deliverables.
  • Communicate outputs effectively to teams and stakeholders.
  • Generate ideas for improved team outputs and benefits to customers.
  • Provide pre/post-event analysis to enable scenario modelling for future decisions.
  • Organise and support RP projects aligning with business strategy.
  • Stay updated on strategy and issues to reflect current information.
  • Attend meetings to drive business improvements.

Short-Term Build Analyst Location:

This role can be based from home but you must be flexible and able to travel to other sites as needed, predominately Stockport or Leeds.

Role Overview

The Short-Term Build Analyst will undertake the production and delivery of resource plans for work types across Customer Operations from 1 week to 12 weeks' out, and support the Resource Planning teams to plan and schedule activity optimally thereby increasing the profitability of the business, remaining committed to treating customers fairly

Role Accountabilities
  • Create a safe environment with the aim of achieving a zero incident work space and ensuring that teams take responsibility for themselves and each other
  • Contribute to the work-stream to deliver objectives to agreed targets
  • Responsible for the production and development of resource plans/models/processes to forecast staffing levels, service levels and other key performance indicators
  • Lead discussions with key stakeholders to ensure inputs into planning models are up to date and reflect latest operational requirements
  • Responsible for the impact assessment of risks and opportunities to the plan from and engage with relevant parties to ensure these are effectively communicated
  • Review performance against plan and engage with operational stakeholders providing analysis of performance against plan
  • Using specialist resource planning knowledge responsible for interpreting & providing commentary to R&P leadership team on deviation from agreed performance metrics
  • Own the planning cycles and processes that support production of the plan
  • Provide a link between Forecasting, Long Term & Change in translation of outputs from these teams into an operationally deliverable plan
  • Communicate work outputs effectively
  • Generate and support the implementation of ideas for improved team outputs that engage key stakeholders and benefit our customers
  • Responsible for pre and post event analysis to enable ad-hoc scenario modelling that influences future resource decision making
  • Organise, upskill and support RP projects that drive the business strategy
  • Keep abreast of business strategy and operational issues to ensure work outputs reflect the latest information
  • Organise and attend relevant meetings to resolve and give input to business improvements
  • Support and manage the development of the RP Intranet (when applicable)
  • Design, maintain and develop governance processes across the Resource Planning teams
  • Audit RP workforce management systems, working with other departments, to expand control points and gather accurate results
  • Adhere to the Competence and Training procedures to promote a culture where customers are treated fairly and are properly informed
  • Ensure data held is compliant with DPA policies and sharing of any staff data is closely monitored and controlled
  • Ensure (customer related) information systems are operated to the required standard to maintain accurate and secure records
  • Identify any risks and take action to resolve when asked
