Reports to: Site Manager

Our client, an established food manufacturing business in Cheshire is seeking an experienced Shift Manager - Technical to lead a site-based technical team and ensure full compliance with food safety, quality, legality and customer standards. The role supports production operations and drives continuous improvement across technical systems and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop and manage a technical team supporting site operations
  • Ensure manufacture of safe, legal and quality products
  • Implement and maintain site technical policies, procedures and standards
  • Manage internal audits, process validations and document control
  • Proactively manage site risks, trends, non-conformances and complaints
  • Support and maintain site accreditations
  • Provide technical support to production and cross-functional teams
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost awareness within budget
Key Relationships
  • Site Leadership Team and cross-functional departments
  • Customers, suppliers, auditors and regulatory bodies
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Strong knowledge of food manufacturing technical systems and compliance
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role within food manufacturing or retail
