Job summary

Lantmännen Bedford site is seeking a Shift Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of a 12-hour shift at our food production facility. You will lead a team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure health, safety and quality standards are met across your shift.

You will analyze OEE and waste, coach staff, conduct shift meetings, and collaborate with CI colleagues to implement effective changes.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong leadership with problem solving and reporting.
• Ability to achieve results through teamwork.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Competent with MS Office.
• Experience supervising teams in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of OEE and waste analysis.
• Understanding Health and Safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the shift, ensuring safety, quality and customer service standards.
• Lead CI initiatives and identify operational improvements.
• Investigate losses and OEE/waste issues using CI tools.
• Coach and develop the shift team; promote multi-skilling.
• Conduct shift meetings and ensure buy-in for issues.
• Control and document waste and OEE data accurately.
• Undertake Accident and Near Miss investigations.
