Job summary

Europe Snacks UK is seeking a Site Shift Manager to lead high-performing teams, drive operational excellence, and ensure safety, quality and customer service on site in Leicester.

You will manage Area Managers and operators, implement Lean, HACCP standards and CI initiatives in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

This role involves PM and Night shift coverage with night premium and a strong focus on safety and team development.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English and Maths.
• Intermediate HACCP qualification.
• Coaching skills.
• Auditing experience.
• Two roles available: PM shift and Night Shift (night premium).

Responsibilities

• Overall site responsibility for site safety and security while on shift.
• Conduct root cause analysis when incidents occur.
• Ensure staff are trained and competent to work safely.
• Drive a safety culture with weekly health and safety audits.
• Review risk assessments and SOP adherence.
• Support Safety Coordinators and safety briefings.
• Line manage Area Managers, Manufacturing Technicians and operators.
• Set SMART objectives for the team.
• Recruitment, staff movements and succession planning.
• Apply performance management processes.
• Maintain robust communication to all staff and timely messages.
• Create a positive culture and morale for staff.
• Ensure GMP and process standards are followed.
• Identify root causes of deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Audit readiness and closure of actions.
• Review customer complaints with Technical Team and take action.
• Ensure cleaning according to defined schedules.
• Support new product launches with NPD.
