• Time served/apprentice trained in a similar role with Electrical qualifications.
• Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous operation of production by minimizing downtime.
• Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on-site.

Job description

Shift Maintenance Electrician

Shift Pattern: Days & Nights rotating, 42 hours per week
Location: Falkirk
Salary: £53,485 including shift allowance and benefits

We now have an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our maintenance team at our Falkirk site.

What’s the mission?

Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous operation of the production process by minimizing downtime through safe and effective fault finding and maintenance of equipment. You will work on various equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.

You will carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on-site, working 42 hours per week across day and night shifts.

What are the essential skills?

• Time served/apprentice trained in a similar role with Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent)
• Previous experience in manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations
• Practical hands-on approach
• Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance
• Ability to analyze and diagnose maintenance issues accurately
• Experience with mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics is advantageous
