Job summary

Prezzo Italian is seeking a Duty Manager to own the shift, open and close the restaurant, and lead the team to deliver exceptional hospitality. You’ll ensure every guest leaves knowing they were looked after, and you’ll coach the team to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.

With opportunities to grow into restaurant management, you’ll be responsible for floor leadership, guest experience, and upholding food safety, licensing, and cash handling.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team on the floor in busy hospitality.
• Calm under pressure during busy shifts (e.g., Saturday nights).
• People-first leadership style and team development.
• Pride in food and exceptional hospitality; attention to detail.
• Ambition to grow into restaurant management.
• Good working knowledge of food safety, licensing and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift on the floor, opening and closing the restaurant and setting the pace for hospitality.
• Delight guests by ensuring meals go out as expected and feedback is handled on the spot.
• Run the restaurant operations: manage cash, tills, stock and labour during shifts; hand over to the next shift.
• Maintain high standards: food safety, allergen procedures, health and safety, licensing compliance.
