Job summary

Tesco PLC is seeking a Shift Lead to manage daily store operations and lead a team in delivering exceptional customer service. You will work across all store areas, coach colleagues, and take charge in the Store Manager's absence while maintaining flexible, customer-focused service.

The role offers a minimum 16 hours per week with shifts scheduled within availability windows, and a pay rate starting at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in certain stores. Applicants must be 18 or over.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
• Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Manager's absence.
• Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
• Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
• Staying curious and seeking opportunities to serve our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day.
• Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
