Job summary

Premier Inn in Wakefield is seeking a Duty Manager to lead hotel operations across reception, housekeeping and the restaurant. You will ensure guests have a great stay, support your team and maintain seamless service during busy periods, including evenings and weekends.

This permanent role offers guaranteed hours and a clear path to progression toward hotel management. You’ll be on the floor, solving problems, briefing staff, and working closely with the Hotel Manager to keep the hotel running

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a busy customer-facing environment.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and busy periods.
• Confident decision-maker who stays calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts across the hotel and deliver clear pre-shift briefings.
• Coach and support team members throughout the day.
• Assist guests with questions and resolve problems.
• Move between reception, housekeeping and restaurant as needed.
• Identify issues early and take corrective action.
• Keep guests safe and ensure the hotel runs smoothly.
• Collaborate with the Hotel Manager and wider leadership team.
