Job summary

One Stop, a Tesco subsidiary, is seeking a proactive Shift Leader to manage daily store operations and lead a team to deliver outstanding service. You will open/close the store, coordinate duties, and ensure a clean, welcoming environment for customers.

As the customer remains at the heart of our approach, you will coach colleagues on service delivery, drive improvements, and act as a point of contact in the Store Manager’s absence while ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the store and manage duty cover, ensuring decisions prioritise customers, colleagues and safety.
• Coordinate the team to deliver a clean, well-presented store and great customer experience.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and feedback to improve service performance.
• Be the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager for daily queries.
• Support Store Manager with seasonal, community and charity events.
• Follow health and safety routines and ensure colleagues do the same.
• Communicate effectively with the team to keep everyone informed and aligned.
