Job summary

Marks & Spencer Plc is seeking a dedicated Shift Lead to manage the fill operation, ensuring a ready-to-trade salesfloor and efficient resource coordination. You will lead when the Colleague Manager is away and guide the team to deliver excellent service and speedy checkout experiences.

The role requires operational leadership on the shop floor, strong customer service, and the ability to respond to opening/closing responsibilities and store security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fill operation and ensure the salesfloor is ready to trade.
• Coordinate resources to deliver tasks during fill operations.
• Lead the floor in the absence of the Colleague Manager.
• Allocate resources to deliver a quick payment experience.
• Ensure daily processes are implemented efficiently across the area.
• Coordinate the team to maintain a clean, safe, well-presented store.
• Contribute to a great team atmosphere inclusive of everyone.
• Model excellent customer service and M&S behaviours.
• Support Colleague Managers by sharing observations to drive high performance.
• Support nearby stores if required.
• Be a key holder and respond to call outs.
• Handle opening/closing tasks including receipt of vehicles, temperature controls, logging issues with Helpdesks, cash handling and TSL compliance in peripheral hours.
