Job summary

Hunter Selection Ltd is seeking two multi-skilled Shift Engineers (electrical bias) for our Nottingham site. You will perform planned, predictive and breakdown maintenance on fully automated production and packaging lines, including steam and boiler systems, with a focus on reliability and efficiency.

The role requires strong fault diagnosis skills, experience in fast-paced FMCG environments, and familiarity with PLCs, HMIs and SCADA systems.

Qualifications

• Multi-Skilled engineers with an electrical bias
• Experience in FMCG manufacturing environments
• Strong fault diagnosis and problem-solving skills
• Experience with boilers/steam systems is advantageous
• Working on PLCs, HMIs and SCADA systems

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, predictive and breakdown maintenance on automated production and packaging equipment
• Steam and boiler system maintenance
• Follow PPM schedules efficiently
• Electrical fault finding and modifications on PLCs, HMIs, SCADA and control panels
• Mechanical fault finding and repair
• Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, contactors, inverters, sensors and drives

Shift Engineers (CG28472) Nottingham, England

Salary: GBP45000 - GBP45500 per annum + Benefits

12hr Shifts - 4on 4off Days & Nights

Our client is an industrial processing business, part of a larger group, with multiple sites in the UK. Due to an increase in headcount within their engineering team, they are looking for 2 multi-skilled shift engineers, with an electrical bias.

Role & Responsibilities of a Shift Engineer:

• To carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance, repairs, refurbishment, installation, improvement and modification or upgrade of plant, fully automated production & packaging machinery and site services.


• Steam & boiler system maintenance


• Follow PPM schedules efficiently & effectively


• Electrical fault finding & modifications of PLC's, HMi's, SCADA Systems and Control Panels


• Mechanical repair and fault finding


• Working on hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, contactors, inverters, sensors, drives, valves


• PLC - electrical fault finding

Knowledge, Skills & Experience needed to be a Shift Engineer:

• Multi-Skilled Engineers - but must be electrically biased


• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering - Time-served Apprenticeship


• Excellent problem solving & fault diagnosis skills


• Knowledge of production environment, continuous improvements & development


• Both strong electrical & mechanical fault finding and repair skills


• Must have worked in fast-paced environment - FMCG manufacturing/production


• Have experience of working on boilers & steam systems advantageous


• Worked on PLC systems, Control Panels, HMi's & SCADA Systems
