Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Nottingham is seeking two multi-skilled shift engineers with an electrical bias to join an expanding industrial processing group. You will work on fully automated production and packaging machinery, carrying out planned maintenance and improvements.

The role requires strong fault diagnosis in electrical and mechanical systems, boilers/steam experience is a plus, and familiarity with PLC, HMIs, SCADA, and control panels.

Qualifications

• Electrical biased multi-skilled engineer with fault finding skills.
• Experience in FMCG production environments and continuous improvements.
• Proficient in electrical & mechanical fault diagnosis and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance on automated production & packaging machinery and site services.
• Steam & boiler system maintenance.
• Follow PPM schedules efficiently.
• Electrical fault finding & modifications of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA & control panels.
• Mechanical repair and fault finding.
• Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, contactors, inverters, sensors, drives and valves.
• PLC - electrical fault finding.

Our client is an industrial processing business, part of a larger group, with multiple sites in the UK. Due to an increase in headcount within their engineering team, they are looking for 2 multi-skilled shift engineers, with an electrical bias.

Role & Responsibilities of a Shift Engineer:

• To carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance, repairs, refurbishment, installation, improvement and modification or upgrade of plant, fully automated production & packaging machinery and site services.
• Steam & boiler system maintenance
• Follow PPM schedules efficiently & effectively
• Electrical fault finding & modifications of PLC's, HMi's, SCADA Systems and Control Panels
• Mechanical repair and fault finding
• Working on hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, contactors, inverters, sensors, drives, valves
• PLC - electrical fault finding

Knowledge, Skills & Experience needed to be a Shift Engineer:

• Multi-Skilled Engineers - but must be electrically biased
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering - Time-served Apprenticeship
• Excellent problem solving & fault diagnosis skills
• Knowledge of production environment, continuous improvements & development
• Both strong electrical & mechanical fault finding and repair skills
• Must have worked in fast-paced environment - FMCG manufacturing/production
• Have experience of working on boilers & steam systems advantageous
• Worked on PLC systems, Control Panels, HMi's & SCADA Systems
