Mason James Appointments (UK) Ltd is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Bias Shift Engineer for a fast-paced manufacturing site in the UK. The role is hands-on, focusing on reactive maintenance, fault finding and improving the reliability of automated production and packaging lines.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background in manufacturing, proven experience with automated equipment, and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement.

Mechanical Bias Shift Engineer – Manufacturing

Salary: £60,000 + benefits

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (2 days, 2 nights)

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Bias Shift Engineer to join a well-established, fast-paced manufacturing business following significant investment in its production facilities. This is a hands‑on role, focused on reactive maintenance, fault‑finding and improving the reliability of automated production and packaging equipment.

The Role

• Carry out reactive maintenance across automated production lines.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Support ongoing improvements in equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Work with a variety of machinery, including conveyors, packaging equipment, cutters, slicers and automated systems.

The Ideal Candidate
