Job summary

Hunter Selection in Chesterfield is seeking shift engineers with an electrical bias to maintain production, processing and packaging machinery at their flagship UK site. The role involves electrical and mechanical fault finding, PLC fault work, and executing PPM/TPM schedules on a 12-hour shift rota with days and nights.

Candidates should have multi-skilled capabilities, experience on industrial equipment, and be comfortable with SAP/CMMS.

Qualifications

• Looking for a multi-skilled engineer with electrical bias.
• Experience with industrial production, processing and packaging machinery.
• At least 5 years' experience outside of apprenticeship.
• Ideally completed a formal apprenticeship.
• NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3+ qualification.
• Happy with rotating shifts and a yearly holiday rota.
• Computer-literate; SAP and CMMS experience.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, control panels and gearboxes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all production, processing & packaging machinery.
• Electrical & mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• PLC - electrical fault finding.
• Complete PPM & TPM schedules.
• Follow electrical drawings & schematics.
• Deal with production & packaging machinery, motors, conveyors, gearboxes, drives, sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics.
• Ordering spares, parts and maintain site CMMS.

Would you like to work for a growing local business, that has the job security of being part of a multi-billion-pound global manufacturer, at their flagship UK site.

They are looking for multi-skilled maintenance engineers that are electrically biased.

Role & Responsibilities of the Shift Engineers:

• Maintain all production, processing & packaging machinery
• Electrical & mechanical fault finding and repairs
• PLC - electrical fault finding
• Complete PPM & TPM schedules
• Follow electrical drawings & schematics
• Dealing with production & packaging machinery, motors, conveyors, gearboxes, drives, sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics
• Ordering spares, parts and maintain site CMMS

Knowledge, Skills & Experience need to be Shift Engineers:

• Looking for a multi-skilled engineer, that is electrically biased
• Must have experience of working on industrial production, processing & packaging machinery
• At least 5 years' experience outside of apprenticeship
• Ideally have competed a formal apprenticeship scheme
• NVQ or City Guilds qualified to level 3 or higher
• Must be happy working a rotating shift pattern, with holidays built into a yearly rota
• Computer literate - able to use SAP systems / CMMS
• Experience of working on hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC's, control panels, gearboxes
