Pioneer Selection Ltd are advertising a brand-new opportunity for a Shift Mechanical Engineer in Matlock, Derbyshire. You will join a small maintenance function, working 4 on 4 off days and nights, carrying out PPM and breakdowns on varied industrial plant.

Qualifications

• Heavy industry maintenance background essential.
• Strong fault-finding across bearings, belts, gearboxes and rollers.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance and breakdowns on industrial plant.
• Work in shift team alongside electrician to support operations.
• Maintain and service crushers, conveyors, furnaces and moulds.

SHIFT MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Salary: £52,130 (OTE £60,000+)
Location: Matlock, Derbyshire
Job Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: 4 On 4 Off Days and Nights

BRAND NEW opportunity to join a well-established business within heavy industry / recycling. Due to continued demand and workload, the site is looking to add an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to the shift team. You’ll be working in a small, close-knit maintenance function, partnered alongside an electrician, carrying out PPM and breakdowns on varied industrial plant.

Skills required for the Shift Mechanical Engineer

• Strong hands-on maintenance background in an industrial / heavy engineering environment
• Good mechanical fault-finding skills across:
  • Bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, rollers
  • Hydraulics & pneumatics
  • Welding / fabrication (advantageous)

Machinery / Plant: Crushers, conveyors, screening equipment, furnace, moulds (ingot), wire & stripper.
