Job summary

Caerphilly County Borough Council is recruiting for a permanent full-time role in Caerphilly Homes and the Older Persons Housing Team. You will deliver housing-related support across 30 sheltered housing schemes, working independently and as part of a team to promote wellbeing, inclusion and safety.

The role requires a Level 2 qualification in Housing/Care/Support, experience in housing or care, and a valid UK Category B driving licence to travel between schemes.

Job description

Would you like to be part of a dynamic team delivering housing related support services to Contract Holders living in the 30 sheltered housing schemes across the borough? This is an exciting opportunity to join Caerphilly Homes and the Older Persons Housing Team on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidate must have an excellent work ethic and good communication skills whilst working independently and as part of team. You will be expected to support the team in promoting health and wellbeing, social inclusion and safety and security whilst enabling Contract Holders to live as independently as possible. The postholder will be responsible for delivering housing related support, carrying out appropriate and effective on-site management within schemes and respond to emergency calls when on site. For the role, we ask that you have:

• A relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, in Housing, Care or Support.
• Proven experience of working in housing, care or support fields.
• Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to respond to any issues in a sheltered housing scheme.
