Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking a Sheltered Housing Officer to manage sheltered housing schemes across the borough and act as the main point of contact for residents and families. You will coordinate welfare checks, safety, safeguarding, and support tenancy sustainment, with travel across the borough.

The role requires strong customer care, Independent work, and teamwork, plus knowledge of housing benefits and safeguarding principles.

Qualifications

• Housing management experience.
• Experience working with vulnerable adults.
• Experience conducting welfare or risk assessments and making referrals.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of sheltered housing schemes.
• Provide advice and support to residents, advocates and relatives on housing matters.
• Carry out welfare checks and respond to emergencies.
• Conduct risk and support assessments and make referrals.
• Manage lettings for void properties, including viewings and sign-ups.
• Promote resident engagement and community activities.
• Ensure health and safety and safeguarding compliance.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
