Job summary

Wiltshire Police is recruiting a Service Transition Manager to shape how digital, data and technology services are introduced across the force. You will ensure services are secure, resilient and ready for operational use from day one, working across delivery, operational and supplier teams.

The role involves coordinating transitions, applying governance for go-live, and driving continual improvement. A strong ITIL background and experience in a DDaT environment are essential, with hybrid working

Qualifications

• Experience delivering service transition/change/release in a Digital, Data and Technology environment.
• Strong understanding of service acceptance and operational readiness for live services.
• Proactive planning, coordination and risk management supported by evidence and insight.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transition of new and enhanced digital, data and technology services into live operation, ensuring security and resilience.
• Assess service readiness against acceptance criteria and operational requirements.
• Define and maintain service acceptance standards for supportability, resilience and documentation.
• Act as gatekeeper for go-live decisions with evidence-based recommendations.
• Coordinate transition activities across service, delivery, operational and supplier teams.
• Establish Early Life Support to stabilise new services in live operations.
• Manage transition risks and escalate issues as required.
• Drive continual improvement using metrics and lessons learned.
