Job summary

The Kardex Group is seeking a skilled field service technician to service and maintain our dynamic storage systems across the UK. You will be the primary on-site specialist for customers in your region, performing electrical and mechanical repairs, safety checks and routine maintenance on installed Kardex solutions.

Applicants should have technical vocational training (electrician/industrial/mechatronics) and the ability to read electrical schematics. A driving licence (Category B) is required.

Qualifications

• Completed technical vocational training, for example as an Industrial electrician, Electrician or Mechatronics technician.
• Read electrical schematics safely and work with up to 1000 volts.
• Strong customer orientation and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• You will be the go-to service expert for customers in your home region.
• Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs, maintenance, safety checks and all service tasks on installed Kardex systems.
• Identify faults quickly and propose practical, effective solutions.
• Work at heights of up to 7 metres when required, handling this confidently.
• Provide on-site training and guidance to customers.

Your tasks

• In your home region you are the go‑to service expert for our customers.
• You will carry out electrical and mechanical repairs, maintenance work, safety checks and all other service tasks on our installed systems.
• You have a keen instinct for identifying faults quickly and finding practical, effective solutions.
• Working at heights of up to 7 metres is sometimes required, and you handle this confidently and calmly.
• As a friendly, solution‑oriented contact person, you are always there for our customers.
• You advise customers on recommended service work and support them with on‑site training and instruction.

Your profile

Completed technical vocational training, for example as: Industrial electrician Electrician Mechatronics technician Electrical installer Electronics technician Certified electrical specialist …or similar – as long as you can read electrical schematics and safely work with up to 1000 volts.

Ideally, you already have experience in field service and are comfortable working at heights. Up to 7 metres is no issue for you. Strong commitment and excellent customer orientation come naturally to you. You are used to working independently and solution-focused. A Category B driving licence is required.
