Job summary

Kardex Group in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced field service technician to perform electrical and mechanical repairs, maintenance and safety checks on our installed systems. You will identify faults quickly, work at heights up to 7 metres, and act as a reliable, customer-focused contact for Kardex customers in the region.

The role requires completion of technical vocational training, ability to read electrical schematics, and a valid Category B driving licence.

Qualifications

• Completed technical vocational training in electrical trades.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and work safely with up to 1000 volts.
• Experience in field service with customer-facing roles preferred.
• Category B driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site electrical and mechanical repairs, maintenance and safety checks.
• Identify faults quickly and propose practical, effective solutions.
• Work at heights up to 7 metres when required and stay calm under pressure.
• Serve as a friendly, solution-oriented contact for customers.
• Advise on recommended service work and deliver on-site training.
• Support customers regionally in the home region and coordinate with the team.

Your tasks

• In your home region you are the go-to service expert for our customers.
• You will carry out electrical and mechanical repairs, maintenance work, safety checks and all other service tasks on our installed systems.
• You have a keen instinct for identifying faults quickly and finding practical, effective solutions.
• Working at heights of up to 7 metres is sometimes required, and you handle this confidently and calmly.
• As a friendly solution-oriented contact person, you are always there for our customers.
• You advise customers on recommended service work and support them with on-site training and instruction .

Your profile

• Completed technical vocational training, for example as:
• Industrial electrician
• Electrician
• Mechatronics technician
• Electrical installer
• Electronics technician
• Certified electrical specialist ...or similar - as long as you can read electrical schematics and safely work with up to 1000 volts .
• Ideally, you already have experience in field service and are comfortable working at heights. Up to 7 metres is no issue for you.
• Strong commitment and excellent customer orientation come naturally to you.
• You are used to working independently and solution-focused.
• A Category B driving licence is required.
