The Role
As a Service Technician & MOT Tester, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and MOT testing while ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing and repairs in line with manufacturer standards.
- Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA requirements.
- Follow manufacturer and dealership procedures at all times.
- Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults effectively.
- Liaise with customers when required.
- Support and mentor less experienced technicians.
- Attend ongoing manufacturer and technical training courses.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment.
- Ensure work is completed within agreed timescales and quality standards.
Requirements
- Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Current MOT Tester qualification.
- Previous experience within a franchised dealership environment preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Full UK driving licence.
