Job summary

A busy franchised dealership in Southampton is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their established workshop team. The role offers a basic salary of up to £37,000, with OTE of £52,000 uncapped. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of post-apprenticeship experience and an NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance. Great benefits include a manufacturer training programme and a staff car scheme.

• Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience.
• Full and clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Perform cambelt, clutch, gearbox & engine repairs/replacements.
• Conduct electrical & mechanical diagnostics.

Our client, a busy franchised dealership in Southampton has the requirement for an experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join their established workshop team. Vehicle Technicians – Mechanics returning to the motortrade are most welcome.

Vehicle Technician Responsibilities

• Ensure Servicing & Repairs are carried out to Manufacturer Standards
• Cambelt, Clutch, Gearbox & Engine Repairs/Replacements
• Electrical & Mechanical Diagnostics
• Mechanic Warranty Repairs
• Carry out MOT Tester to DVSA standards (If qualified)

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Essential Requirements

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance
• 2 years Post Apprenticeship Experience
• Full and clean UK Driving Licence

Desirable Requirements

• Class 4 MOT Licence
• Manufacturer Accreditations
• MOT Licence (Class 4 & 7)
