Autotech-Recruit-Limited in Newbury is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join a busy workshop at a well-established automotive retailer. You will service, diagnose, and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, with ongoing training and clear career progression.

The role offers Monday to Friday hours with some Saturday mornings, a competitive salary with uncapped bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including pension, life assurance, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Relevant automotive qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent.
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician or Service Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• MOT Tester qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and accurately.
• Conduct vehicle health checks and identify any additional work required.
• Work in line with dealership and manufacturer processes.
• Support junior technicians and share technical knowledge where appropriate.
• Liaise with customers when required, providing updates on vehicle repairs and servicing.
• Attend ongoing manufacturer and technical training courses.
• Complete workshop documentation and job records accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Ensure all work is completed to high quality and productivity standards.

Location: Newbury, Berkshire

Salary: £37,000 - £52,000 OTE + Uncapped Bonus

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (1 hour lunch) + 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:30am - 12:30pm)
