Job summary

Protyre Autocare is seeking a Service Technician to join our expanding national team. You will service and repair vehicles using the latest diagnostic tech, achieving high standards. The role includes tyre fitting, brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension, and MOT repair work.

You should hold an NVQ Level 3 in Automotive, have a full UK driving licence, and be comfortable using diagnostic equipment in a fast-paced environment. A strong customer focus and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have full UK Driving Licence for at least 6 months.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in automotive.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment and fast-fit duties.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicle work is safe and high standard.
• Carry out fast-fit tyre fitting and use alignment machine.
• Fit brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and related parts.
• Carry out MOT repairs and follow vehicle inspection procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment for thorough testing and repair.
• Advise customers on issues and future maintenance.
• Work safely and comply with health and safety rules.

As a Vehicle Technician you are responsible for providing exceptional vehicle servicing and repairs by using latest diagnostic technology and techniques to identify vehicle issues.

• Must have: Full current UK Driving Licence is required for this role, held for at least 6 months (age restrictions may apply – points or offences may affect your application).

About the role:

• Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard

• Completing fast fit tyre fitting whilst being able to use an alignment machine and understand the reading and relevant adjustments

• Fitting brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other mechanical products

• Carrying out MOT repairs

• Adherence to company procedures of the vehicle inspection process

• Use relevant diagnostic equipment to ensure diagnostics, testing, and repairs are thorough and to highest quality

• Advise on other issues vehicles display, including common issues vehicles of certain makes and ages develop, and offers timelines for future vehicle repair needs

• Working in a safe manner and always comply with health & safety regulations

About you:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification related to the Automotive industry

• Experienced with mechanical and fast fit repairs which may include tyre fitting, exhausts, brakes, suspension and general servicing repairs to a wide range of vehicles

• The ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced dynamic environment

• Experience with diagnostic equipment

• Great customer service skills

• Full UK Driving Licence
