Job summary

Protyre Autocare is seeking an enthusiastic Service/Vehicle Technician to join our growing team. You’ll service and repair vehicles using the latest diagnostic technology, providing high quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent automotive qualification
• Experience with mechanical and fast-fit repairs
• Experience with diagnostic equipment
• Ability to work in a busy team

Responsibilities

• Ensure the work is carried out safely and to a high standard
• Perform fast fit tyre fitting and use alignment machine
• Fit brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other components
• Carry out MOT repairs
• Adhere to vehicle inspection procedures
• Use diagnostic equipment for thorough testing and repairs
• Advise on issues and future repair timelines
• Work safely and comply with health & safety regulations

As aVehicle Technicianyou are responsible for providing exceptional vehicle servicing and repairs by using latest diagnostic technology and techniques to identify vehicle issues.

Must have

Full current UK Driving Licence is required for this role, held for at least 6 months (age restrictions may apply – points or offences may affect your application).

About the role

• Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard
• Completing fast fit tyre fitting whilst being able to use an alignment machine and understand the reading and relevant adjustments
• Fitting brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other mechanical products
• Carrying out MOT repairs
• Adherence to company procedures of the vehicle inspection process
• Use relevant diagnostic equipment to ensure diagnostics, testing, and repairs are thorough and to highest quality
• Advise on other issues vehicles display, including common issues vehicles of certain makes and ages develop, and offers timelines for future vehicle repair needs
• Working in a safe manner and always comply with health & safety regulations

About you

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification related to the Automotive industry
• Experienced with mechanical and fast fit repairs which may include tyre fitting, exhausts, brakes, suspension and general servicing repairs to a wide range of vehicles
• The ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Experience with diagnostic equipment
• Full UK Driving Licence
