Job summary

Protyre Autocare is recruiting a Vehicle/Service Technician to deliver high-quality servicing and repairs using the latest diagnostic technology. A full UK driving licence is required, with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in the automotive sector.

You will work as part of a busy team, performing fast-fit tyre fitting, brake and suspension work, and MOT repairs in a safe and compliant environment. Training and development opportunities are offered through IMI programs.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification related to the Automotive industry.
• Experience with mechanical and fast fit repairs including tyre fitting, brakes and suspension.
• Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced team environment.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all vehicle work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Perform fast-fit tyre fitting and operate an alignment machine, interpreting readings.
• Fit brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other mechanical components.
• Carry out MOT repairs as required.
• Follow vehicle inspection procedures and company policies.
• Use diagnostic equipment to diagnose, test and repair vehicles, ensuring quality.

As a Vehicle Technician you are responsible for providing exceptional vehicle servicing and repairs by using latest diagnostic technology and techniques to identify vehicle issues.

Full current UK Driving Licence is required for this role, held for at least 6 months (age restrictions may apply – points or offences may affect your application).

About the role:

• Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard.
• Completing fast fit tyre fitting whilst being able to use an alignment machine and understand the reading and relevant adjustments.
• Fitting brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other mechanical products.
• Carrying out MOT repairs.
• Adherence to company procedures of the vehicle inspection process.
• Use relevant diagnostic equipment to ensure diagnostics, testing, and repairs are thorough and to highest quality.
• Advise on other issues vehicles display, including common issues vehicles of certain makes and ages develop, and offers timelines for future vehicle repair needs.
• Working in a safe manner and always comply with health & safety regulations.

About you:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification related to the Automotive industry.
• Experienced with mechanical and fast fit repairs which may include tyre fitting, exhausts, brakes, suspension and general servicing repairs to a wide range of vehicles.
• The ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
