Job summary

Protyre Autocare is seeking an enthusiastic Vehicle Technician to join our growing team. You will provide vehicle servicing and repairs using diagnostic technology to identify issues.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 Automotive qualification, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work safely in a busy fast-fit environment. We offer training and development opportunities and bonus schemes.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence required, held for at least 6 months.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Automotive.
• Experience with mechanical and fast-fit repairs (tyre fitting, brakes, suspension).
• Experience with diagnostic equipment.
• Able to work in a busy team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all vehicle work is carried out safely and to a high standard.
• Perform fast-fit tyre fitting with alignment machine usage and readings.
• Fit brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other mechanical parts.
• Carry out MOT repairs.
• Adhere to vehicle inspection processes and health & safety rules.
• Use diagnostic tools to ensure thorough testing and accurate repairs.
• Advise customers on future repair needs and timelines.

About the role:

• Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard
• Completing fast fit tyre fitting whilst being able to use an alignment machine and understand the reading and relevant adjustments
• Fitting brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other mechanical products
• Carrying out MOT repairs
• Adherence to company procedures of the vehicle inspection process
• Use relevant diagnostic equipment to ensure diagnostics, testing, and repairs are thorough and to highest quality
• Advise on other issues vehicles display, including common issues vehicles of certain makes and ages develop, and offers timelines for future vehicle repair needs
• Working in a safe manner and always comply with health & safety regulations

About you:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification related to the Automotive industry
• Experienced with mechanical and fast fit repairs which may include tyre fitting, exhausts, brakes, suspension and general servicing repairs to a wide range of vehicles
• The ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Experience with diagnostic equipment
• Full UK Driving Licence
