Octane Recruitment Ltd on behalf of our client in Chesham seeks a Vehicle Technician to join a fast-fit automotive team. You will perform light and full-service work, brake, exhaust, battery and suspension repairs, and operate wheel alignment equipment, interpreting readings to ensure precise adjustments.

No formal qualifications required—the client will fund level 3 IMI and Hybrid qualifications and provide extensive training, with clear career progression and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential.
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician.
• Passion for the Automotive industry and development.
• Interest in Hybrid cars.

Responsibilities

• Light and full-service work on customer vehicles.
• Fast-fit duties: brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension parts.
• Operate precision wheel alignment machinery and interpret readings.
• Tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements and repairs across makes.
• Collaborate with workshop to achieve targets.
• Teamwork with other Vehicle Technicians.

Job description

Our client who is one of the UK’s fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician based at their retail centre in Chesham.

As a Vehicle Technician you would be responsible for reviewing work on customers vehicles, completing wide range of fast fit mechanical work and light and full-service work.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role, our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Chesham

Pay / salary: Basic: £32,000 - £34,000 Depending on experience and qualifications

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday and Saturdays 08:30 – 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

• Carrying out precise tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements, and repairs across various vehicle makes
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Work as a team with the other Vehicle Technicians

To be a Vehicle Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
