Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a leading fast-fit automotive retailer in Yeovil for a Vehicle Technician. You will review work on customer vehicles and perform a wide range of fast-fit and light-to-full-service tasks.

No qualifications are required initially; the client is happy to fund Level 3 IMI and Hybrid qualifications and provide extensive on-going training to develop your skills and progress within the company.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential.
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed).
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further.
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars.

Responsibilities

• Review work on customers' vehicles and complete a wide range of fast-fit mechanical work and light-to-full-service tasks.
• Perform fast-fit duties such as replacing and repairing brakes, exhausts, car batteries, suspension parts.
• Operate precision wheel alignment machinery, interpret readings and make accurate adjustments.
• Carry out tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements and repairs across various vehicle makes.
• Work with the workshop team to achieve targets and support fellow Vehicle Technicians.

Our client who is one of the UK’s fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician based at their retail centre in Yeovil.

As a Vehicle Technician you would be responsible for reviewing work on customers vehicles, completing wide range of fast fit mechanical work and light and full-service work.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Yeovil

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 – 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.
