Job summary

British Red Cross are recruiting a Service Support Worker in Falkirk to provide personal, emotional and practical support to adults in their own homes or community. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are required, with business mileage reimbursed.

You’ll liaise with health and social care professionals to ensure high-quality care, support daily living tasks, and promote safety through welfare checks.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with physical, sensory, or mental health needs.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to register with the SSSC.
• Valid UK driving licence and vehicle access.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal, emotional and practical support to adults in their own homes or community.
• Supporting service users with daily living tasks like bathing, dressing, meal prep, and medication.
• Liaising with health and social care professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
• Promoting safety and wellbeing through risk assessments and welfare checks.
