Job summary

The Guinness Partnership in Havant is seeking a Service Manager to lead the Repairs and Maintenance team. This permanent, full-time role is 40 hours per week, with hours 8:00 am–7:00 pm, Monday to Friday, plus Saturday mornings on a rota.

Hybrid working includes office, site, and home working, with a works van provided. Role covers Portsmouth, Waterlooville and surrounding areas; ideal candidate lives within reasonable commuting distance to support operations.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date knowledge of building construction, maintenance, repairs, and safety legislation.
• Experience leading, managing and developing and motivating teams.
• Strong knowledge of housing sector best practice and relevant legislation.
• Experience of subcontractor management.
• Proven ability to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused repairs service.
• Experience using repairs management information systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage and improve operational team performance.
• Commitment to demonstrating the Guinness Behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support an area-based operational team in delivering a high-quality Responsive Repairs service.
• Drive performance and ensure excellent customer outcomes.
• Maintain high standards of service delivery across the team.

Education

Trade NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

NVQ Level 3 in First Line Management

City & Guilds qualification

SMSTS qualification
