Job summary

We are seeking a committed leader to oversee supported living services in South Tyneside, heading a team of Support Workers to deliver person-centred care. You will ensure safety, social inclusion, and the development of independent living skills for residents.

Role requires social care experience with learning disabilities or autism, strong leadership, and flexibility to share on-call duties. DBS check is required, and positive relationships with families and healthcare professionals are

Qualifications

• Experience leading care teams and managing rotas.
• Willingness to share out-of-hours on-call duties.
• Knowledge of learning disabilities, autism or complex needs.
• Familiarity with PBS frameworks and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a support worker team, oversee rotas and training.
• Participate in local on-call rota for advice or emergency cover.
• Ensure regulatory health and safety compliance for the service.
• Build relationships with families, social workers and health professionals.
• Oversee person-centred support plans tailored to individuals.
