Job summary

Toomey Motor Group in Southend Essex is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead a busy service team and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

The role requires 2 years in a Service Manager position, excellent leadership and diary-management skills, and the ability to motivate staff in a fast-paced environment. Salary ranges from £45,000 to £65,000 OTE, with benefits including a company car and pension.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day service and workshop operation.
• Ensure vehicles are repaired and serviced to manufacturer and company standards.
• Communicate with customers regarding repairs and additional work.
• Allocate work to Technicians according to skill and workload.
• Support, train and motivate the service team.
• Ensure paperwork and customer updates are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain high standards of vehicle care and customer satisfaction.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Automotive Service Manager to join a long-established Essex-based automotive retailer.

We’re looking for an ambitious, customer-focused manager who can lead a busy service team, develop staff and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have:

Service Manager – Automotive

Salary: £45,000–£65,000 OTE (uncapped, depending on experience)

• 2 years automotive experience, in a Service Manager role
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent leadership, organisation and diary-management skills
• Good problem-solving and analytical abilities
• A passion for developing and motivating a team
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Key responsibilities:
