Job summary

Polkadotfrog is supporting a Suffolk-based client in their search for a dedicated Service Engineer with a background in industrial or commercial machinery. The role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment across the UK and abroad, with regular client visits.

Key responsibilities include installation, maintenance, site testing, preventative maintenance, and providing remote technical support, plus detailed reporting and safety inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing industrial or commercial equipment.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Willingness to travel overnight across UK and internationally.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Valid passport.

Responsibilities

• Completing installation, maintenance and service work, ensuring customer and company satisfaction
• Performing site acceptance testing to ensure equipment is fully operational
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with service schedules
• Provide ongoing and remote technical support to clients
• Completing detailed service reports including WO, scrap reports, timesheets etc.
• Report any H&S issues and inspect safety equipment

Suffolk based client with a requirement to visit the office for training and team related events. Most of the time the role will require extensive travel across the UK and internationally

Polkadotfrog are thrilled to be supporting a fantastic company with their search for a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer with a background in industrial or commercial machinery.

As the Service Engineer, you'll provide high-level service support in this role, including installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing machinery/equipment. This role will involve travel within the UK and abroad, as well as regular visits to clients on a monthly basis.

Key responsibilities as the Service Engineer:

• Completing installation, maintenance and service work, ensuring customer and company satisfaction
• Performing site acceptance testing to ensure equipment is fully operational

• Provide ongoing and remote technical support to clients

• Flexibility - this role requires overnight stays nationwide and worldwide travel
• Full UK drivers' licence
• Valid passport
